Anthony Pardo is the director of partnership activation at Major League Baseball, where he oversees the League’s corporate partnerships with Budweiser, Corona, Gatorade, and Mastercard.
In his role, he collaborates with senior brand and agency executives to strategically implement MLB IP in unique cobranded digital, linear, and offline marketing campaigns. He also leads all logistics and functional planning with sponsors, agencies and vendors for promotional in-game, on-field and in ballpark activations during MLB All-Star Week, MLB Postseason, and MLB World Series.
He has spent nearly eighteen years in the organization, working his way up the corporate ladder after starting in office operations and brand marketing before moving into sponsorship. Pardo previously served as the cochair of SOMOS, MLB’s Latino employee resource group, whose mission is to support the league’s business functions reach the Latino audience and develop engaging employee programming.
Pardo has been very involved with several organizations. He currently serves as a board member of the Vecinos Collective, an organization dedicated to Latinx professional development and empowerment of ERG leaders. He is also an ambassador for the DREAM Charter School, whose mission is to inspire all children to recognize their potential and realize their dreams.
He previously served on the programming committee for Pro Sports Assembly and was recognized as one of the 2020 Top Latino Leaders 40 Under 40 by Prospanica NY.
The youngest son of Ecuadorian immigrants, Pardo is a first-generation bilingual graduate of St. John’s University where he majored in journalism and minored in sports management.
When he’s not working, Pardo resides in Brooklyn with his wife Deidre and daughter Marcella, where they frequent local playgrounds, museums, and restaurants. He also plays on multiple softball teams and is an avid salsa dancer, previously competing in the pro-am division of the World Salsa Summit, where he captured a bronze medal.
