As the Formula 1 (F1) Miami Grand Prix rapidly approaches, Hispanic Executive and ImpactX Sports Group are proud to present the Latinos in Sports event, a star-studded affair that will shine a spotlight on the remarkable Latinos making their mark in the world of sports. Here are three top honorees who are making a significant impact across industries.
José E. Feliciano
Puerto Rican native José E. Feliciano is the co-founder and managing partner of Clearlake Capital Group. Feliciano currently serves on the board of directors of several Clearlake portfolio companies, including Chelsea Football Club, where he serves as co-controlling owner, and Concert Golf Partners, where he also serves as chairman of the board. Feliciano is also chairman for fifteen other different companies’ board of directors and the co-founder of the Kwanza Jones and José E. Feliciano Initiative with his spouse, Kwanza Jones.
Monica Gil
Monica Gil is executive vice president and chief administrative and marketing officer for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. The Mexican American executive also serves as a board member for Nike. Gil oversees the Spanish-language media company’s communications, marketing, operations, strategy, and insights departments. She started the women leadership programs at Telemundo, as well as the Telemundo Academy for up-and-coming media leaders.
Luis Silberwasser
As chairman and CEO of TNT Sports, Colombian American Luis Silberwasser oversees the partnerships and sports rights that Warner Bros. Discovery has with leagues such as Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Collegiate Athletics Association, and the National Hockey League. The former president of Telemundo and TelevisaUnivision has over twenty-five years of experience with media networks and content creation, as well as a passion for fútbol.
Along with the three honorees, the Latinos in Sports event will recognize ten local leaders who are leading from behind the scenes, such as members of the Miami Marlins, the Miami Heat, the PGA, and beyond.
